Hive Prospect uses a simple discipline that maps naturally to provenance: source facts are not the same as inferences, and missing evidence stays UNKNOWN rather than being silently converted into confidence.

FACT = the source or entered value is visible. INFERENCE = a reviewable assessment from those facts. UNKNOWN = the evidence does not establish the answer.
